"Each year, WisRWA recognizes a member for outstanding service. As last year's recipient of the Chapter Service Award, it is my honor to present the award this year. We all know that WisRWA would not exist without its volunteers and everyone who has offered to do a job, however small, deserves our gratitude. But the Chapter Service Award singles out a member who has consistently volunteered and supported the chapter in a variety of ways over an extended time.

This year, nominations for the Chapter Service Award were submitted to Susie Just, chairman of a committee that included Peggy Hendricks and Shirley Cayer - all previous service award recipients. After much discussion, the committee decided one award just wasn't enough. So on this special 25th anniversary of WisRWA, we have double Chapter Service Awards. Both these members have dedicated themselves to making sure the Chapter runs smoothly, efficiently, and successfully. They have served WisRWA in many different ways for the past several years. In appreciation of their dedication and extra effort, I'm happy to present WisRWA's 2008 Chapter Service Awards to Sandra Turriff and Mary Jo Scheibl."
