Feb 23 (Alex Bledsoe Writing: Music & Mixed Media as Inspiration)
Join Alex Bledsoe as he walks us through the process of using music,
movies and other media as inspiration for the writing process. Alex
will share examples of how unrelated works of art have inspired his
own work and lead an exercise on outlining a story based on song. A
fun, creative workshop to jump-start your writing from a new
direction!

we have a special topic and the opportunity to purchase gently used
books and barrow tapes and cds on writing. For more information

FEBRUARY PROGRAM: Retired Green Bay Correctional Captain, Dennis Natzke will answer questions about the prison based on his 30 years of experience in Green Bay, including numerous riots and facility lockdowns. He worked his way up through the ranks: Officer, Officer 2, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and can offer his expertise at each level. Please think of some questions ahead of time to have ready for him, either from the standpoint of a guard, or the prisoner. (He does not require them be sent prior to the meeting.)
Since retiring, Dennis Natzke works as a financial advisor. He is a registered representative for a local firm, Argus Financial.

March Meeting
The Northwest/Chippewa Falls WisRWA Chapter will meet at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, March 8th at the Chippewa Falls Public Library, 30 W. Central Street.
The program is two-fold: "Kiddie Lit" by Deb Waite, a report on a children's literature workshop, and "Whale Bone, Wasp, or Empire Waist - How I Make My History Right in Romance," by Dr. Janice Bogstad. Jan is Professor and Head of the Collection Dept. and Faculty of UW-Eau Claire, and Graduate (English) and Women's Studies Programs. We will also discuss member notification in case of bad weather!
