*Meagan Hatfield has sold a contemporary erotica story, THE WHOLE ENCHILADA, to Whiskey Creek Press Torrid Teasers line and is currently working on a second story for them.

*Lori Devoti is pleased to announce the sale of her dark paranormal romance, HELL HOUND, to Harlequin Nocturne. It is tenatively scheduled for a June 2007 release.

*Rowena Cherry is thrilled to announce that MATING NET was named the Award Winner of the E-Book: Fiction category of the Best Books 2006 Book Awards, run by USABookNews.com

*Rowena Cherry is happy to announce that the sequel to FORCED MATE, titled INSUFFICIENT MATING MATERIAL has officially been sold to Dorchester Publishing, and will be released to bookstores everywhere in February 2007.

*Last year's Golden Heart Winning Historical book by Christine Merrill, is now available. Chris also sold two more books to Harlequin Mills & Boon.

Laura Iding's (title to come) Winner of the 2005 Readers and Bookbuyer's Best Laurie Award.

Roxi Romano's FANTASIES R US took 3rd place in the More Than Magic contest.

from Romantic Times for Best Superromance.

Readers Choice Award Winner! Isabel Sharpe won the eHarlequin.com Reader's Choice Award for Best Love Scene in 2005 for her December Blaze, ALL I WANT . . . The Blaze miniseries DO NOT DISTURB, which featured Isabel's book THRILL ME in June 2005, was also a winner for Best New Miniseries.

2006 Contest Winners and Finalists - Unpublished

*Donna Kowalczyk received First Place in the Reveal Your Inner Vixen Contest for her Series Contemporary!

*Lorrie Kruse's manuscript, "My book, A Life Worth Living," received Second place in Reveal Your Inner Vixen, Third place in Golden Rose, and Third place in Arizona Author's Association, which comes with getting the first chapter published in the 2006 Fall issue of Arizona Literary Magazine. This manuscript has also finaled in the Labor of Love Contest.

*Brenda Nelson-Davis story, “Elena and the Worries,” won First Place in the Juvenile Short Story Category for the Wisconsin Regional Writers Association’s “2006 Jade Ring Contest.” A scene from her,”Spit at the Moon,” took third place in the OVRWA Summer Sizzle Contest. The beginning chapters of “Undo the Night” are in the final round of Mid-America Romance Authors’ “2006 Fiction from the Heartland Contest,” in the Paranormal Category.

*Betsy Norman's YA manuscript, "My Life in The Void", is a finalist 2006 MARA's Fiction from the Heartland Contest and the 2006 VOS' Hot Prospects Contest

*Donna Kowalczyk w/a Donna M. Rogers, received 1st place in the Reveal Your Inner Vixen contest for her contemporary romance, There's Only Been You!

*Ann Curtis sold her first work...an essay, to an Anthology titled: "Special Gifts: Women Writers on the Heartache, the Happiness and the Hope of Raising a Special Needs Child." Release is scheduled for May 2007.

*Donna Kowalczyk finaled in the Molly (Heart of Denver), Maggie Awards (got a request for the full from Susan Litman), Sweet, Spicy, Spooky, & Suspense (Smoky Mountain), and Golden Opportunity (Indiana).

*Stacey Netzel also finaled in the Golden Opportunity.

*Angie Tyler received second place in the PASIC, Book Of Your Heart competition with her contemporary "Reality Bites," and got a request for the full from the editor at Silhoutte.

*Dulcie Sorenson got a request for a full from an editor at Medallion Press, and she finaled in San Francisco's Heart to Heart with her historical ms "Eye of the Beholder."

*Stacie Penney won second place in in The Writing Show's First Chapter Contest!

First Sales!

Elizabeth Kruger has sold her first book, a futuristic entitled "Forget About Tomorrow" to Samhain Publishing!

Meagan Hatfield sold her first book, a fantasy romance entitled A MAGICAL ENCOUNTER, scheduled for release in 2007 by Wings ePress.
